I had been living in France only for a few months when my (French) boyfriend
took me to meet a couple of (French) friends of his for the first time.
During the regular "getting to know each other" interview, the all too
common question of zodiac signs came up. I had not yet gotten the hang
of the language yet, but I figured the French word for Virgo had to be something similar to English --- and so out came "Je suis Verge."
Which in French, means "I am Penis".
After the hiccuping/laughing attack finally calmed down (about 2 hours later), I was explained the very subtle "faux pas". Ever since that day, the correct French word for Virgo, Vierge, is imprinted in my mind with indelible ink.
Je suis Vierge. Je suis Vierge. Je suis Vierge.
Which also means, "I am a Virgin" !
Only in France.

The difference there seems - oh so slight - that, instead of imprinting it in my mind, I think I'd have to remove the word from my vocabulary altogether! / UYB

Well, also in Italy are Virgos Virgins...!
